gotta go to court friday, can you do this for me?

please someone take a good clear pic of their sidemarker lights while they are on, the ones next to the headlights, and show me what color they are STOCK so I can print them out and bring it with me.
I replaced them with the hyperwhites, which are blue in color with the lights off, and got a ticket for them. The cop said that they should be amber, but I know they are more white than amber on the stock Max.

Thanks!

they are more white than amber in fact they are not amber at all........maybe the cop was thinking the corner bumper lights....which in your case the judging by ur car domain are clear bumper lenses.....which technically are illegal no matter what color bulb u have in them because they are supposed to have amber reflectors

Stock corner lenses are clear w/ clear bulbs. Stock bumper lenses are amber with clear bulbs.

WTF is the confusion here?

Pic of stock lenses. Sorry, I don't have a pic of it on.

Just fix it, take pics, and go in and tell them that you are sorry and that you did not know that it had to be amber but that it is now.

That was more for the people above who seemed confused on what you were asking.

Well, I have never been ticketed in NJ, but WV, NC, and VA all had some "grace" if you went in, dressed nicely, and acted responsible. It is worth a shot!

Try getting a letter from a maxima dealer. Or order the correct bulb from the maxima dealer and show the bulb to the judge, and tell him that the colour comes from the bulb, not the reflector.

The original bulb is clear since the corner lamp is a courtesey light... whenever you flash to turn , the corner will get brighter to help you see where you are turning ( somewhat like the i30, where the light lights up the ground area when turning)... even Chrysler New Yorker had that...

Only 95-96 Maximas had this.. I30's may have had it until later.
