Does the passenger side Axle where it meets trany or wheel have ABS markings? My drivers side axle from cardone has ABS splines but the passenger side is lacking them. So the question becomes, does the passenger side need ABS splines????

if your car has abs then the passenger side should have it.

I assume your ABS light isnt illuminated, if thats the case you probably dont have abs even thought the driver side has the abs ring. Check you vin # for abs. or when you turn on the key to the on position, so you see the abs light illuminate then go away? if so you have abs.

It's a maxima with ABS, I'm replacing the AXLES+ Clutch. The problem is I don't know if the axles I got are correct. I ordered the right part numbers, but there's no part number on the axles. The drivers side has ABS splines, the passenger side doesn't (of my new uninstalled ones) I don't know what the old broken ones in the car look like because I haven't taken them out. Kind of urgent!!! Those who know please tell me if abs splines are also on the passenger side!

did you see an abs sensor on the hub? small black box on the back of the spindle, and a long cable would be running from the back of the spindle thru fender to a place in the engine bay

determining if you have abs or not is the key

read my first post again too.

I know I have abs man..it's even on the sticket. I bought CARDONE axles that I haven't installed yet and need to figure out if they're ABS or not.. I even have a window sticker saying it's ABS with my vin.

The cardone axles I bought: drivers has a clip on the side going into tranny, passenger side doesn't.

You said :: if your car has abs then the passenger side should have it. , it should have the clip in the area going into tranny?

if you have abs then you have the wrong axle in the passenger side. You can install it and drive on it fine, but you abs light will be on and your abs system wont be functional until the problem is solved.

you will know if the axle is abs by if it has that gold gear ring going around it. if it doenst have it, its a non0-abs axle

clip that goes into the tranny you dont see it present on the passenger? its like a plate shaped disk like thing, with a whole thru the middle (where the axle is going thru)?

if its the clip I think it is, that is needed to press against the axle seal.
