viper alarms installed at best buy anyone??

was thinking of having a Viper 971 installed there and was wonderiing if anyone had thier alarm installed there and thier expieriences with them. I know everryone speaks of Don but im thinking that if there are any problems it seems it would be tough to get a hold him to correct any problems with the alarm if any. Any feed back on best buy would help thanks.

i got mine installed at best buy, they were really quick on installing it, and did a good job, but if your thinking of getting one, shop around....,because the price that best buy gives it for, circuit city could give 10% percent off on their price if you show a price quote from best buy
hope this helps

yes this helps thank you, i was wondering if they do good work or not. did you get the window and tire sensors? are they really sesitive?. How do you like the range on the remote start? I have a prestige alarm and its horrible! i have to go right next to the car to unlock my doors with the remote . i dont know if the tinted windows affect the range or not. do you know if the range on the Viper are affected by the tinted windows? thanks again.

no actually the tint doesn't bother the range, i got 5% black tint on mine (cops hate it) and it doesn't bother it, they got the window sensors on but i didn't do the tires cause i got those special lug nuts that you have to use a key to unlock them, but as far as window sensors, they work like a charm, and range is really good on mine, i could but 1/4 mile away and still unlock my doors, yea prestige does really blow, my friend has one and he has to be right next to the car to unlock or lock the doors

Have you ever dealt with Don, you’re in NJ go pay him a visit.

Don can be hard to reach if you’re not currently a customer. But once you are he won’t let you down. He’s very professional and deal with his customers well.

Don is an authorized vendor for DEI, you wont get any better of a warranty from best buy.

PM him.

Hmmm sounds enticing, unfortunately not all true. Half of their installers are hacks and another large percentage doesnt know their ass from their elbow without a book and 3 'associates' to help them.

I work at bestbuy for the discount and you're right most of the installers don't know their @ss from a hole in the the ground..

But can you get a Viper alarm for 60% off?.. F550Maranello, they upped the discount on certain things btw, and lowered it on others unfortunately.

You get what you pay for, Don does quality work and he’s been on the org since around the beginning of time. If you want it done right the first time you know who to call.
