Max Sighting Rt 29, and Randolph Rd
Hey thanks on the fogs. They were a pain to find. They are made by Hella and called YellowStars. I got them at Susquhana or something here's the link http://catalog.com/susq/index.htm I got the 85w version. The factory are rated at 55w. The 85's add minimal current draw and are not too hot for the lenses. I leave mine on all the time w/ no probs. Going to Maxus? I plan to reserve my spot in a minute. Obviously it was me you passed. Was at girlfriends family for 4th.
Hey dude,
Nice to meet ya dude. I don't know if i'll be goin to maxus this year. My car is in the shop gettin it's rear end fixed and i'm not sure how long that's gonna take. By the way what else have you done to your car? Got a homepage?

Hey, it's nice to meet you too. I don't have a homepage yet. I am not so good w/ computers, but am working on it. I haven't done any power mods to my car yet. My car has 113,000 miles on it. I replaced the factory brakes at 103,000 (pretty impressive I think) w/ Stillen cross-drilled rotors and metal matrix pads. Added ss lines. Got 17X7 Raptor wheels w/ Falken GRB's. I love saying Falken tires. haha Have Tokico/Intrax setup. Rewired fogs, am trying to rewire bumper lights to flash w/ turn signals. Hyperwhites, yellow fogs, fstb. I am in need of a clutch. Any advice? Soon to come:new clutch, poss. alum. flywheel, intake, are Y-pipes legal? and a rsb. Hope to learn alot at Maxus.
Hope you're car is allright and not too expen$ive. Keep in touch. I am new to this site and am learning alot. Hope to keep that up. Cya
Just do a search on this website if you have any questions on particular items, usually something will turn up cause just about everything that can be covered has been covered before. As for clutches i'm not really familiar cause my car is an automagic. Currently my ride is stock besides, a PR CAI, FSTB, RSTB, Stillen RSB, SPRINT/KONI spring setup, 18x8.5 Volk Te-37 with Kumho tires (go korean brand!) he heh, and a body kit that needs to be painted again. In the future i want to finish out the exhaust mods, with a y-pipe, and catback but from the looks of it that might not be for awhile. Just bought a townhouse and the cashflow is tight now. If you need help with installing your future mods, drop me a line and i'll help ya out. Maybe we can get some of the other MD/va/dc maxima boys out too.

My CAI impressions are pretty good however they aren't consistent. Sometimes the car feels slower, and other times it seems to pull hard. You can definitely feel the difference on hotter days. But if your concerned with losing lowend power, there are other options you could go with that would help make up for it. For instance getting a Underdrive pulley will free up some HP. As for pop chargers I guess it's all a matter of oppinion however I think there are some members experimenting with hybrid popchargers using the part of the CAI. So two intakes in one. I'm not sure of the specifics though. As for sound, the CAI sounds tame at low rpm but sounds like a beast at higher rpms. If I had to do it again I would still go with the CAI cause i'm a big fan of cold air induction.
As for the y-pipe its not street legal and meant for off road use only. So technically if a cop were to pull you over and check down there he could give you a ticket. Personally though i'm not sure a cop would be able to tell the diff. between a stock ypipe and a aftermarket. Also, you will be able to pass emissions tests, just make sure that you warm up the car a good 5-10 minutes or so before you run the test. I've heard really good things about the ypipe and I would have to agree that its the best bang for the buck. I think there's a group deal for budget ypipes out in canada for 150 bucks u.s. dollars. That's a pretty good price. Jury's still out on whether it as good as the other brands though.
Personally the rstb is prolly not worth it but I got mine from a member who was selling it for cheap thus I bought it anyways. I think more than the rstb, you should definitely get a RSB if you don't have one already. As for my suspension, so far so good. The sprints are stiff but nothing like my friends accord with 2.25 drop eibachs sportlines. Thus i don't need a back brace or anything. Driving through D.C. is a different story though. My gf says it gives her stress when she's riding shotgun in my car and we're driving thru d.c. cause literally i'll be dodging pot holes left and right but every so often i'll catch something and you'll feel these jolts and loud bangs. I try not to drive in d.c.
all in all i'm pretty happy with my suspension setup. i'm 24 and my body isn't so welcome to being jolted around so much these days but my current setup is pretty bearable.
