Here are a few pics of the car. They are a little outdated as the tires are old and I had the tint redone after these pics were taken. I will try to take new pictures this week.

I would put stock 15 in rims and stock tail lights back on it. I would leave the stereo, suspension parts, hood and spoiler on the car unless you have time to sell them separately. I'd ask $6500 for it if it were mine and take no less than $6000 based on the miles you have. My 97 has 146k miles on it and I was offered $5200 for it with stock 15's and the old tail lights. Just my opinion.

Aftermarket parts do not add to the retail value of a car.

If you plan to go the Craigslist/local selling route I'd take off all after markets parts (aside from the headunit maybe) but definetely the exhaust system, wheels, hood and spoiler. BTW, are you sure you've got a 6% and 12% tint?

Thank You

Thanks for the input everyone. I will most probably replace the aftermarket parts with stock as I still have everything.

ethnic6 - i dont have a stock spoiler. i bought the car without a spoiler and had the Galant spoiler installed. i do not want to take it off becuase i will have to get the holes filled/covered or sumthin. ALL Good though. got it for $100 painted and installed for free. so not to big a loss after 4 years.

th0ught - sorry for the confusion...as i stated in my 2np post, i redid the tint after i took those pics. the tint u c in the pics is very transparent. i dont know the % but its almost like there is not tint.

again thanks to everyone who gave me their advice. i was leaning towards selling stock and you guys pretty much convinced me.

THANK YOU

The only problem is whether you'll be able to sell the aftermarket parts after taking them off. You might want to at least list the car here on the forum and some other enthusiasts' forums to see if anyone wants it with the mods in place. That might be easier than taking everything off, putting the OEM stuff back on, and then parting out the other stuff. If you don't get any interest after awhile from people who would appreciate the mods, then you can switch it all out, but you ought to at least try, as maxgig pointed out, to sell it for a higher price with the mods just to see what happens.

that was my original plan. that is actually y i posted this in the 4th gen forum. to see how much interest i would actually get. i think i will take new pics than post a sale on the forum. at the same time i will try to sell the car on www.craigslist.com and sites like that. i dont need to sell the car anytime time soon so im not in any rush. i dont even know wat kinda car i want to get after i sell this one.

THANKS

Mods decrease the value of the car because chances are you drove the car hard. edmunds.com is my fav for values because kbb values are far too high. I'd say $5500 is reasonable, except for the fact that you have a mitsu spoiler (jk)

Do the edmunds.com test where you can choose what options your car has. I believe that it is more accurate than Kelley Blue Book as well. I would take off as many mods as you can, get the car looking stock again. Sell the car for $5000 + mods = $6000+. Just so you know I bought a 99 SE 5spd loaded (black on black leather, bose, auto climate, heated seats....the whole 9 yards) for $5500 @ a dealer. It had 108K miles just like yours. Just thought id throw that in there.
