to the comment about engine mods killing mileage that isn't nescassarily true. I got roughly 4mpg better with the addition of an aluminum flywheel, intake, and topspeed y-pipe.

What kind of intake? I'd like to upgrade mine, but reading other threads, ppl say that stock intake gets the best mpg. I also have Budget y-pipe.

The way I calculate my mileage= as soon as the gas light comes on on a level surface (not coming on for a few seconds during brake/accel/cornering) I immediatly hit the odo trip, then, when I get gas I fill up with exactly 10 gallons. Then, next time the gas light comes on on level ground I look at the trip miles and divide it by 10. So say the trip says 245 miles thats 24.5mpg, it's a little easier to do this way and alot more accurate since it takes the geuss work out of knowing how much gas was really left in your tank when you filled up

I fill up (never top off), set the trip odometer to zero and then drive till..... whenever. I dont let my light come on and usually full up when the needle goes below 1/4. Then fill up again (once again without topping off), take the odometer reading and divide it by the number of gallons I just put in. Miles divided by gallons gives you miles per gallon. So I know what my mpg is, but not the range. I can hit 300 if I let it go without a fill up for a little while longer than usual.

I drive in Brooklyn,NY and we have lots of traffic here and you stop on traffic light every minute.
100% city I get 13-14.5 mpg , if it's 30%city 70%highway I get 17.5mpg.
I fill up with 93.
I spoke to my friend who has 2007 maxima and he gets 17mpg city on his brand new car. Also most 4th gen nycmaximas.org members from Brooklyn get the same mileage as I get.

I'm sure your mileage depends on which city/state you drive.
If someone gets 26mpg in his city, he wouldn't get more than me in Brooklyn in stop and go traffic. You have to compare between people who drive in the same town/city, this way you can compare your mileage to others.

Finally some sence! Ofcourse I live in Brooklyn, NY also. I get about the same milege 14 to 16mpg mostly city. Highway I get around 26 mpg which is decent.

I can usually just break 300 miles per tank(i fill when the light comes on)all city, 30-45mph, but i dont know how big the tank is so i cant make the correlation between miles per tank and miles per gallon.

wow it seems like there is alot of variations between gas mileage. I have a 95 5-speed MT with 179k miles on it and i get between 25-30mpg routinely which easily puts me between 400 and 470 miles to my tank. I've cracked the 500 miles per tank once. I have never gotten less than maybe 21mpg. I do probably a 60/40 split of highway/city driving and use nothing but 91 octane. CAI, new knock sensor, and under drive pully are only mods to the engine so far.
