I was considering this as a replacement to my worn out antenna. It looks cool too. Anyone tried it?

If you have a BOSE sysyem in your car, there are 2 antennas. One is on the rear window...looks like the defroster, and the manual antenna. If your manual antenna is broken, you will still be able to use the radio thru the one on the window.

It's not going to fit right on the car but go for it. Just look at the antenna and look at the curve of your car. You think it's just going to sit right? I don't. Get a small antenna or under the motor on yours so it doesnt move. The 2nd antenna in the rear window should be enough for good reception.

maybe because the BOSE was suppose to be the higher end system that had a FM ampilier built-in to improve signal. the way the BOSE has it set up is that it looks at both the antenna strength and gets the stronger signal so you get a clear crisp sound when listening to FM. AM is only off the real antenna.
A lot of newer cars are using this system now. the higher end cars have been doing this for many many years.

I hate my stock antenna. Its to long and it looks out of place. Is there a hidden antenna i can get? My dads 01 didnt come with an external antenna. Im assuming his is internal because its not visible
