Got mine up the 125 and had to slow due to traffic on the way from Atlanta. It felt smooth as could be.

Are there deer in Pennsylvania?
Do they sometimes dart across the road?
How quickly can you stop from 113 mph?

YEA I KNOW

The reality of it is im stupid but when it comes down to it i needed to see what it was able to do....is it bad for the car to hit 100-130...When I had it at 110 it felt pretty topped off but i was only in 4th so maybe thats what it was....to scary to go to 5th...it would have launched

Deer Smear(literaly), but how often will one dart across a road? I live in Colorado and frequently go for drives through the mountains at night and have only had 2 deer run across the road while I was driving, and both were VERY far infront of me. I dont want to sound like an a$$hole but what is the worst that will happen due to hitting one? A dent in your hood and maybe you'll need a new windshield. It should all be covered under your insurance anyway and how the hell will they know you were doint 113 when you hit the deer? Just tell them it was a big one and that you couldnt find it after you hit it. I seriously doubt that it would massivley affect the steering of the car or push it off course. Simple solution: Upgrade your brakes! Phuong has a deal on a complete kit right now, go to www.EatRiceZone.com.

It is not bad for your car to hit any speed, just dont redline it. The engine running at 5000 rpm in 4th gear is no different than it running at 5000 rpm in 2nd. We all want to see what are cars can do and will infact do stupid things sometimes to find out the limits of the car or ourselves(which ever comes first). Just dont do it too often and try to be safe when doing it. Have fun.

The worst that will happen is that you are killed.

From http://www.usroads.com/journals/rmj/9705/rm970503.htm

Michigan keeps statistics on deer-vehicle collisions. According to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, there were 56,666 deer-vehicle collisions in that state in 1994, and each year deer-vehicle collisions in Michigan kill an average of five people and injure 1,500. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimated that animal-vehicle collisions in the United States caused 120 vehicle-occupant deaths in 1991. According to the National Safety Council in Chicago, deer-vehicle collisions annually account for more than 100 motorist deaths and about 7,000 injuries.

I got up to 130 the other day going up the Dumbarton Brige (in the Bay Area). Prolly best place to do it when no cars are around, don't have to worry about deer, cops, etc (going up hill, slowing down in time before you hit the crest).

I actually hit a deer two weeks ago in my neighbor's Porsche. He just got a tune up so I took it out, down some back roads (Steven's Canyon Rd). Took some turns lightly, then turned around. Hit it around the first corner (that I just past before I turned around) ~60+mph to the right, and there were two deers standing in the middle of my lane. They couldn't go to the right cuz there was a hill, so they darted infront of the car over the left lane. Because they did this, I couldn't stop in time and just hit his assend with the front right bumper/fender. I thought he was going to go under the car, but I stopped in time and it just knocked him over and he ran off. Deers come out of nowhere. Literally 30 sec before I had been on that curve and there were no deer there. Luckily I had 4 piston calipers all around helping me to stop (no ABS) and I didn't hurt the deer badly (prolly just emotionally). Afterwards we laughed, but it would have really sucked to have to rush a deer to the vet...

We had to replace the whole engine in my Uncle's 93 Altima because of the deer. Think about it!!! That car was never right again. He finally traded it in all because of a stupid deer who jumped in front of him suddenly.

Wow...

I had no idea that deer did so much damage to cars, I was basing my statement on my personal experience and I guess I have been lucky so far. Thanks for the stats.
