Underdrive ???

Couple weeks ago, i ordered from Keystone an Unorthodox stock size crank pulley u1512 10 010 12 for my 95 gle. Today, I received u1512 10 110 12 for 3.5L 02-up Maxima and ekeystone.com states the 95-01 discontinued.

I'm now wondering if going underdrive is a good idea. I'm guessing that cooling would not be affected since the waterpump is actually driven by the timing cain and not the accessories belt. But would charging be an issue? I'm running a little amp and sub around 300w rms. And mostly would I gain anything from underdrive or I better keep my oem pulley. Anyone knows belt numbers for underdrive?

Thx
BTW, keep up the good work everyone this .org is a freaking gold mine

i'm not sure if you'll be able to use that 02-up pulley on your 3.0L, AFAIK the timing ring is different.

Pretty sure the stickies have the belt sizes you need for that or vqpower.com does, can't remember where I got the info when I did mine. I noticed dimmer lights at idle from mine so I'm not sure if it's something you wanna do if you run your system a lot at like shows, idle, etc.
From what little gains (if any) it gives I wouldn't call it "well worth it" but for someone trying to squeeze every last bit of bolt on power out of the 3.0 then yes.

edit: just noticed you said you ordered STOCK size pulley. Are you wanting a lightweight stock size or underdrive crank pulley?

the pulley will physically fir on the motor, but the marking for the crank sensor are different. I would return it for a full refund. I don't know why they would send you UDP for another year car with a different motor from yours.

Kick up a fuss and get your money back.

Just to make sure I don't spread any wrong information on this .org, got an email back from Unorthodox racing. Stock size pulley part number changed not discontinued. New one 021001012. That dont explain why I received the one for 02-up but at least 95 still availible.
