haha i apologize for another exhaust thread. they should just make a separate forum for this.

im basically debating between these 3 options (in order of preference)
1. apexi ws2 + budget y
2. greddy sp2 + budget y
3. cattman muffler + budget y&b

i know the sp2 is nice, but a lil expensive. the tip is too big IMO and would like an option thats not too loud. ive been trying to find clips or any info about the apexi catbacks ws or ws2. so PLEASE help me with any info on the apexi catbacks you might provide, and any clips would be greatly appreciated

 

i got no clips, but the apexi is alot more subdued than the cattman or greddy.

 

Check teh exhaust sticky....there's a apexi clip somewhere

 

only saw n1 apexi clips
plus most of those clips dont work anymore

 

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm leaning more towards a Budget Y and GReddy SP2, Cattman performs better, but that third setup is also going to be a bit more expensive.


EDIT: Cattman performs better as a general rule, but a muffler isn't going to give you any performance gain, if it does its really negligible.

a buddy of mine had the ws cat back and it sounded great. just enough to let you know he was there, but not enough to annoy you. i would like to go with the apexi NOIR. is that the same as the ws2?

 

if im getting the apexi, im looking for the whole catback. i dont wanna spend 400+ and end up only getting a muffler. the noir is not the same as the ws2. thats why i wanted people who knows anything to pls post.

 

the ws is just how you described. quite while cruising, and a nice exhaust not while under throttle. if you have an intake, you'll here that more than the exhaust while under heavy throttle. that is untill you buy a header. with the Cattman header exhaust volume has changed dramatically...

 

sorry for my lack of knowing whether or not the ws2 was the same as the noir. i mentioned catback in my post, not axle back. and jac121479 just confirmed what i said about the tone, only he added some info that i thought you should have already known. my bad.

no one on this forum has the ws or ws2? im curious to know if there any differences from the two anyway? i know many people have the sp2, but IMO tip is too big and its too loud for me.

well my bad bro. i have nothing more to say other then i have gone through four exhaust setups before i got happy with mine

 

closest is typing "ws2 nissan" into youtube and you get a couple 2.5L altimas. im assuming its gonna sound better on the max tho

by the way the site has some ok max videos. (300zx vs 97 max, z32 has always had my heart)

 

I have a budget y and a cattman catback and it sounds SICK!!!! Only prob is it may seem kinda loud inside from 1800-2200 rpms but you get used to it. Cattman will be loud when u first put it on. LOL after I got mine installed I has a whole **** load of civics, accords, integras, preludes, corollas, camrys, and anything else with an exhaust system also pace me to hear what mine sounded like under full throttle.
