Gear Oil Change Question
Anyone know a spot I can get a writeup on a Gear Oil Change How To for 5 M/T? I just got 5 quarts of Redline GL4 recently and I hear its a simple procedure that I would like to do. How long does it take usually?
Thanks, Jason

I don't know where there is a write-up, but if you are under the car, there is a sensor at the bottom of the tranny. Pull that and the fluid will drain. To fill it, there is a hole with a plug about half way up the tranny, on the frontside (towards the front of the car). Unscrew the plug, and fill it until it starts coming out of the hole.

There is actually a drain bolt under the tranny. I believe it is a 12MM hex but don't quote me on that. The bolt is sideways and faces the driver's side of the vehicle (rear of the transmission). That might be safer than yanking out the crank position sensor from the bell housing of the tranny. Plus, I believe the bolt is lower than the sensor which will accomodate more of the older oil to drain.
