A lot of people have the 00VI on there cars. It helps with the top end without killing the mid or low end like the MEVI does. You will feel a difference in the way the car drives. You will be looking at about 30ish crank HP when done.

For the most part, no, it doesn't sound any different. The advantage isn't simply top end, either, it smooths out the entire existing low and mid range as well. Easily the best NA mod there is, and I love mine.

The question is...are you mechanically apt? If not, don't even think about it.

30ish crank hp =

MEVI's give 38-42 @ the wheels @ 6500 RPM. So the 00vi will give at least that.

I'd rather call a newbie out than have them spread false information.
Check the AM forum, there are lots of threads to help you out.

Just so you know, you'll be needing a lot more than simply the 2000 IM.

Wow - I'm glad my MEVI doesn't have a "killed mid or low end"

I dunno bout that, it seemed like a pretty straightforeward mod once some simple things got figured out, i wouldnt have any troubles with mine if i wasnt a cheap *** and didn't re-use stock gaskets....not completely bolt-on, but hard? naaaahhhh...

to o/p, keep in mind that i used the 5th gen lower so the upper bolted right up on it withotu any drilling.

If you're not at all mechanically apt then you will kill the car. I'm sure you knew enough about working on the car. I think its more about actually knowing how to work on cars in general thats necessary.

Hey Grand Hustle. Even though you may not be doing the work, it might be a good idea to search through the all motor forum for old 00VI threads. Your going to have to know what setup to get and this can easily be accomplished through the search engine on the all motor forum.
