Does anyplace sell the rear lateral link bushings? Mine is torn up pretty bad. The constant clunking in the rear is driving me nuts. It is part number 8 on the picture.

 

damn, looking at the picture reminds me exactly why the rear suspension sux

 

i'm sure you could go to the dealer and get some

 

wonder how a used one looks like and if it is worth changing its not so expensive and may improve the ride handling a little bit if anyone have pics of one used out of the car please post them

 

Apparenly you have to change the whole lateral link, part number 7. The bushings don't come separate but looking the picture would seem to indicate it does. Went to a few dealerships and parts store and they all confirm that the bushing don't come separate. It would also seem like nobody has this part in stock, not even the online nissan parts store. About a weeks waiting time before they can get one.

They only show the catalog but when you call them they don't have the item in stock. Even called DaveB, and was told this is a very uncommon item so more likely than not the dealership do not carry them in stock and the dealer would have to order from nissan's part storage facilities. Boy, I must be lucky to have a such a rare part failed on me when nobody else did.

 

you are guessing or are you sure yours is worn/broken cause i think most likely is a part you change just in case when replacing your suspension

 

There is no doubt that the bushing is bad. You can physically see the bushing torn and that bushing is big and easily visible when you are down under the car. If rock the car from left to right you can see it wobbling and cluncking in there. I'll take a picture of the bad bushing when I get the new lateral link.

Ok and um, playing that guessing game can get real expensive quickly.
