Bose ate CD

I know that there is an audio forum but I thought that my question would get better response here (flame suit on), and some of you might have had personal experience with what happened.

Just this evening my factory Bose will not switch tracks or eject the CD. The radio works fine, but on the CD setting it just plays. Pressing forward or back will change the track numbers on the display but does not advance to the next (or previous) song. Also, nothing happens when the eject button is pushed.

Any ideas are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Ben

time to take it out of the car, take it apart, and search for broken solder around the resistors...

1.Disconnect battery

2.Wait a little bit

3.Reconnect the battery

Once you start the car, it should spit the CD out. Ive had this happen to me multiple times

Thanks for the help guys. Got it out ok and everything seems to be working fine now. Although, as recommended, I will look at upgrading to Pioneer or Alpine as the Bose may be on it's last legs.

Thanks again.

From what I've read here you can't use the bose speakers with aftermarket systems.... so there no bypassing the bose amp

actually if you hardwire the speaker right to the terminals instead of using the harness you can bypass the amp
