if your talking about the one next to the headlight no maxima comes like that its a dual filment bulb you can wire to be a blink or make it brighter

http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...howpage&pid=53 thats to rewire your bumper lights but you can do the same to the top instead

http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...howpage&pid=50 and tahts too make it brighter

Actually, 95-96 came stock with the brightening park lamp while turning. At the very least 95 did, because mine does it.

My 96 had the "corner light" feature. I rewired it years ago.

I think all maximas had that feature. My 88 had that clearance light that when you put the turn signal on it would come on. It was bright as hell too. I use to use it as a spot light when I was looking for my dog at night sometimes back in the day. It wasnt superbright but it was bright enough.

pretty sure all years have it. When you turn on the blinker it gets brighter. Just have someone look at it when you turn on the blinker. I was under the impression all years had it.

This is the first time I've heard of a 97-99 maxima having this feature. I too was under the impression that only 95-96 maximas did this.
I learn something new everyday.

well if all you guys think its 95-96 then you may be correct. I've rewired my lights many times now and to be honest, I may have been mistaken. I thought mine did get brighter but it may be an illusion in my head. I apologize about that but I would go with your guesses that 95-96 are the only models. Not sure why I see mine getting brighter.

so how to rewire it to get this option to work on 97-99 is this a major project? or add do you just add relays or a hot wire to the light that would make this function work?

get the bulb harness from a 95-96 so you have the extra wire comming from the bulb harness. then wire it to a posotive (or neg) depending on how you wire it. from the turn signal stalk. a good place may be before the flasher so the corner light dosent flash...

nope.. they are trying to get a 97-99 to have the 'clearance lamp' effect that the 95 and 96 have.. I kinda liked my clearance lamps (mines a 96) but once I changed my corners to LEDs it was imperative to change thewm to constantly brighter for color matching purposes..
