It's pretty bad and dangerous. Both are broken on mine and I get a loud popping noise whenever I turn in either direction. I am replacing both this weekend if the weather is ok.
I have been riding around like this for about 4 months now. I wouldn't recommend it though. I messes up braking also.

That is power steering fluid and yes, the tire is on backwards.

so i will take it to a mechanic and say is the steering rack boot.. also when i turn either side i dont hear any clicks or anything like it, i do have a problem that when i accelerate slowly (at about 900-1200) rpms theres a chirping-vibrating sound, is there anyway the 3 are related (sound, leak, broken boot)?

Given the vague description, I could only be sure that the leak and boot are related at this time.

Just so you know, that is the inner tie-rod boot.

That is the stearing rack boot, but Ive never seen oil leak out of there. Your stearing rack would have ot be really screwed up to leak power stearing fluid out of there.

well... whatever it is...if it is a CV, when you replace it, you have only one option. Raxles.com Dont **** around with cheap ones, i did that, changed it again 9 months later, just get the good ones from the start and be done with it

Yep, in case this wasn't made clear, if you're leaking from the power steering rack boot, your mechanic won't be talking about rubber boots. He'll be talking about a whole new power steering rack. Leaks like that mean a shot steering rack.

swaybar endlinks (that's where you get a popping noise).....switch wheels around.
