5th Gen Catback on 4th Gen

As the title says, does a 5th gen catback(DEK) line up with the underbody of a 4th gen? I havent been on here in forever, so my Max knowledge is alittle rusty so forgive me if this is an obvious or over-asked question. My stock catback is about ready to rust off, and my cousin has his stock catback just laying around which he said I can have if it will bolt up.

Well if you could just "have it", I would take it and then see if it bolts up. Although i think that it will be a little to long (the section from the cat to the first bend specifically).

Shapes are the same, length is prob longer on the 5th gen. By how much I don't know. The hanger locations are different as well.

Well since ive been convinced to offer more of my suggestion/knowledge/comments, The cat back i think it a little longer between the cat and the first bend. You could possibly fit by cutting a section down and re welding the flange on. also you would probably need to work on the mounts on the muffler its self. Again this might work might not, this is what I know to my knowledge.

Try posting in the 5th gen section for a picture of the stock cat-back- that might help us.

Other than that, the length (as discussed above) is your major hurdle. Before my I30 got whacked, I had a 5th gen muffler that I was going to run (my stocker was rusted out) and I was planning to have it welded up at the axle.

The shape is the same, I have seen them. The flange for the muffler is in different location but the bends look the same.
