Hey people, Need help.

This is stupid but...I've a gota engine check light on because i had the dropping resistor off to improve my auto shifting. Well that worked well and for now put it back on. However the light isn't going away. so I went to reset the light, and I can't get the panel off. One website said to twist the srecws and it's off. But my 95 won't come off. I tried unscrewing them, and That didn't work then I used my clip tool to try to pop it off, it won't work either. How the heck does it come off. HELP!!! Thanks people for any help.
