Did foglight rewire and headlights come on with parking lights

Alright so I just did the foglight rewire and now when I turn on the parking lights the headlights also come on. Everything works like it should with the fogs. The one thing I didnt do was cut the green/yellow wire in the fuse box I just spliced into the wire. I am now thinking that is what my problem is since I didnt actually cut the wire in two which is causing the headlights to come on with the parking lights. Anyone know? Thanks

Ive already read that and all. I just want to know do I need to actually cut the green/yellow wire to not make the headlights come on with the parking lights?

You will need to find the trigger line for the fog lights (it should be green with a yellow stripe) Cut this wire. Tape off the wire leading down with electrical tape so that it doesn't short on anything. Strip back the wire going up into the relay. Now take 3-4 inches of thick insulated wire (at least as thick as the g/y foglight trigger, and 'connect' one end to the g/y stripe fog trigger going into the relay.

I read where it said cut it but I just tapped it thinking it would do the same thing. So I need to actually cut the wire then? Alright going to cut the wire right now then.

i was just saying once you finish the setup you will only see your foglights, unless your headlights are on too. didn't mean to offend.

Well cut the wire and I am done. Foglights now come on with the parking lights and the headlights stay off like they should.

if you dont cut the wire, you can possible get a brighter light source and burn up your wires since your putting more then 12v's into them at a higher amp rated or it can backfeed into the relay's ground.

It might. you just need to find the correct wire in the highbeam relay. Once that is cut you just bring the power wire to a seperate source. Not too hard. Mine:
