Starting Problem

When ever I go to cold start my car I acts like it doesn't want to start. I have to convince it to start by giving it a little gas. On cold cold mornings it seems like its killing the battery. I have to them strap my power charger to it and it'll start. I tried to clean the injectors and still no change. Once it gets started it runs fine. Is this happening only cause its cold and when it warms up it'll go away or should I get this cecked out now? Any help is appreciated

Check the starter and battery before you start playing with injectors.

I'm having a starting issue as well. I just replaced my starter (rebuilt) still makes that whining sound when the car is not started for a while. (ie: couple of hours)

P.S.- I live in Albany so it gets pretty cold up here, and i can deffinitley hear this whining/ harshness when starting.

I am having this issue as well. I think I remember reading something about bad grounds going to the transmission or something somehow causing this? I have to check mine out on Fri and see what happens. No ECU codes and its a real pain to start.. once its started its pretty much fine. It might idle a hair rough but it might just be all in my head.
I just had my trans replaced and thats when the issue with starting began. Car was fine at the trans shop after they did the trans. I drove it to the gas station, got gas then went home. Next morning it took me about 2 hours to get it started. I had hair dryers on in the engine and had to jump start it with a garden tractor after killing the battery trying to start it. What a pain in the ***.

Ok, the "ground" on the trasmission its not for the tranny. In fact its for helping the starter. Thats it. Theres 4 conections(backup lights, speed counter, crack sensor and a big 40 mm one ??) on the tranny (manual) and no one needs a good groud but the starter.

I tried lots of things and its when I changed the starter that I saw a real difference.
