INFO on a GOOD starter for a 4th gen?

Hi,

I'm there, after trying too many things Ill need a faster and a stonger starter. Im on my second OEM starter and still have this kind of problem : http://videos.streetfire.net/video/8...8f0096156c.htm

Thanks for helping me

NOTE : Cames after a tranny swap. It MEANS that everything else on the engine or fuel systeme should be OK.

ow...sounds like you've got bigger problems than a starter. Seems like like it's having a hard time firing and/or the starter is skipping some teeth.

when the question of the 8 tooth or 11 tooth starter comes up, get the 11. they both fit perfectly, the 11 tooth is the updated version.

not sure, might need to consult the fsm for more info (if they have it) for the internal of it. I assume it wouldnt work due to the vq35 starter is design for the vq35 tranny, and flywheel.

the main common problem is crappy grease in the starter so it breaks down, drags over time, and wears down the internals faster. Get some quality grease, and rebuilt the starter from day one or asap to keep the starter lasting as long as possible.
