So I finally got my auto-folding mirrors from Japan.....

and the #*^%ers sent me one heated and one non-heated.

Luckily, I have figured out how to make them both heated and it should only cost $45 . Cant get the parts until Nissan opens on Monday, but tomorrow will be spent wiring them up, auto-dimming mirror, and maybe even the power trunk release like the I30. Wish me luck. Oh and when I am done I'll do a detailed writeup on how to turn non-heated to heated for about $50 each side (maybe even less).

where did you get them from and how much? I looked into a set from fleabay, but he didn't offer them heated. I'm VERY interested to see how they fit the form of the door.
Waiting for some installed pictures.

Did a ton of searching and found someone in Japan that bought and mailed them to me. They arent the ones on Ebay. These are original Nissan mirrors. Over there they come with the power folding feature. TJ Max was selling some (but werent heated). These fold in just like ours (which I prefer to the M3 mirrors) and I dont have to get them painted. I can just swap shells. A used set was about $350 (shipping is what killed me). I emailed her and she realized her error and said she would send a replacement ASAP . Sweet thing is, they shipped on the 7th and arrived on the 10th. I'll try and have a video or something up in a couple of days (as soon as I figure out how to wire up the new switch). From a diagram they sent me, it looks like one may be able to purchase the motor only (but I didnt bother asking).

that's lots of money... 350 us. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that they are ultra cool, but they need to be for that kinda money. Does yours have the led bar on them that connects to the signal lights?
Can you post the link where you found these?
thanks for being the guinea pig.

Prewired and figured out the switch. Already put my shell on the pass side. Replacement arrives Friday, so by that evening there will be a video.

I don't think he's replacing the entire unit, just the outside shell and the mirror inside.

You said something about auto-dimming... I assume you mean the rearview mirror and not the side mirrors..?

Vids will go up when the drivers side arrives tomorrow tracking says it let Chubu Int airport last night).

As for the triangle, these are STOCK mirrors so they are exatcly the same with the motor inside. (no led turn signals).

I am replacing the entire unit but keeping my original shells so I dont have to repaint them.

Yeah, the auto-dimming is the rear view (not the sides). It is an I30 mirror that you wire up. here is the how-to http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=447496.

Pics of the one I am sending back today.

Plug is different. everything else is the same. colors for the "up down left right" functions are the same.
