So looks like im getting new axles

So after my suspension inspection, turns out my cv boots are leaking and ones ripped open, and becuase of high mileage on the car a local shop is suggesting to replace the axles with cv boots and everything inclulded.Because if to replace the cv boots is like 200 bucks labour and new cv boots come to like 30 bucks then i guess it better to get the whole new axles for 106(with everything included) and have them put in,instead of redoing my it becuase of high mileage they could go again in couple months. The car has 187 xxx kilometers on it.i put 7 thousand on it since i had it for almost a year now.st johns newfoundland roads are ****in brutal with pot holes and ****ty roads so yea. Also i need new sway bar link kit(which is nothing) and a wheel alignment. Any suggestions on alternative things to do.Or is it right to do what hes suggesting, since he has to take out the axles out to do the cv boots and put them back in mine as well put in new ones.

If you have the cash, I'd say go ahead and replace the axles too.

Might want to check the inner and outer tie rods while you're at it. Replacing them could help tighten up any loose steering feel you may have.

Also check the dust boots on the struts and shocks. Probably ripped to shreds if they're original.

If not enough cash, you could probably get away with just replacing both outer CV boots depending on how long they've been broken and exposed to the elements. Any clicking noises while you're driving?

And last but not least i need left lower ball joint.O and as for money wise,i work and but everything check into full coverage insurance and my car,its my first car and first year driving,im 18 so thats where all my money goes.

well you could save some money by forgetting about the headers. They don't provide much extra performance for the money spent.

I'd get the exhaust fixed up 1st.

If you're planning on changing the axles anyway, the suspension can wait a little while as long as you don't go for any long trips.

My mechanic told me my CV boots will need replacing soon. I talked with him about it and the cost. He told me it would actually be cheaper in the long run to replace the axles as they come with new boots, etc. He said it is more laborious to just change the boots, so I'd cut down on labor cost by swapping in new axles. I'm planning to do it sometime in spring or early summer.
