2" Drop Successful

Pics coming shortly.

I got K sport springs (ebay special) for $136 shipped. spent half a day in the shop and now my car is two inches lower. It looks soooo much better than the stock hight. Soon as i get my 350z 18s on there they tires will tuck some and it will look even better.

On the stock struts? If so, you'll be replacing those quite soon.

sure hope you didn't put a 2" drop on stock springs. Not a smart idea, you'll blow them very quickly. $136 seems really low for ksport springs too. Sure they're legit?

They are legit. I have the same springs on my car and they actually drive so much more comfortable than I thought. Smart choice, I'll bring pics soon

well ksports for 136 doesnt sound legit when they are usually about $700 dollars for the kit. Pics would be nice to see them and decifer. They drive better because you are lowered (better handling), but stock struts will blow very quickly with that kind of drop. Not a smart idea to run aftermarket springs on stock struts, specially a 2" drop.

You're thinking of the coilovers Cdg. K-sport also makes lowering springs that I haven't heard very good things about, but I guess they're not bad for the price.

yea, they make springs as well as coilovers. they are relatively soft spring rates for the amount of drop. there are better performing springs, but for the price, they may work. if nothing else, they'll give you a good stance. may perform worse than stock, though.

So far handling has been incredible. I am running stock shocks. I'm saving up for Tokico Illuminas so in the mean time I figured I'd let the stock shocks blow out lol. I had thought of this ahead of time .
Its hard to tell the difference in the ride quality between the stock springs and the lowering springs. I took a hard corner at 80mph last night going home after work and there was almost no body roll. All I could hear were my tires screaming at me.
I'm pretty sure they're legit. They had the "K Sport" logo stamped on them and they came in the box and everything. I'll get pics of everything as soon as I can.
It looks so much better. Today someone came into the shop and he was like 'is that your max?' of course I said yes, and he was like 'did you do some suspension work?? oh and are those new head lights?' I replied with a big grin 'Yes, and yes.' He was very impressed. He said he owned a 96 and was very happy with his.

I forgot that they made springs alone too. Thats my fault. You better save quickly for those illuminas, your stocks will blow pretty quick if you're taking corners at 80. As long as you're getting Illuminas then it sounds good. Once you change out the struts you'll feel the difference between stock and aftermarket.
