UDP installed......now problems!

If things are normal with the stock puller something has to be off with the UDP. I wish someone that had one would jump in here. But I still guess that its the UDP. Have you thought about having a shop install it for you and see if they get a better result?

not gonna pay for that. its really only a 40-60 min job.

well even tho it's money I wouldn't throw the idea away. They could know about that kind of problem and can fix it. You never know.

That job becomes a lot longer/harder if you have an automatic. If you have an impact wrench then it's ok.

I have an auto but I don't expect it to be that much harder. Just need to hold the crank still for torquing.

Well from what i can gather it must be the pulley. If you took off the UDP and put on your stock pulley and the car ran good again, then it must be the pulley. Hopefully the previous owner has the reciepts and unorthadox will return it. Other then that, it is very possible that this one was defective from the factory, it does happen, you just turn out to be the unlucky one. Hopefully everything gets straigtened out.

no they dont come with the pulley, but i just got mine today. here are the belt sizes from UR- they recommed Gates belts- alternator and a/c belt Gates K060408 ( 41.5'' or 1055mm) or alternate belt size use K060410 ( 41 5/8'' or 1050mm) Power Steering Belt Gates K040292 ( 29.75'' or 755mm) or alternate belt size use K040300 (30.75 or 780mm) or K040305 (31 1/8'' or 790mm). the instructions are for 95-01 maxima's/96-01 infinity i30 3.0L DOHC 24V.

thanks. Where did you end up getting the belts? I know a lot of places don't sell gates anymore.
