I posted a few days ago about a Stock 4th Gen 5 spd Max and a 4th Gen Auto with INtake and a ypipe racing. Well my question was answered at the track yesterday. I raced a stock 5 spd 98 SE and beat him by a little over a car length. I ran a 15.259 @ 95.6 mph and he ran a 16.001 @ 95mph. I talked to him a lot all day because there was only 3 max's there. His best time of the day was a 15.5 My best time was against him with 15.259 It was nice to atleast have a few other Max owners there, almost every other car seemed to be a Honda or Eclipse. The fastest car of the day (it wasnt a street legal car) was a 95 GSX Eclipse with a 9.225 @ 156mph. It was fun did anyone else from Colorado go? Take Care

No, thats why I said the car was not Street Legal. It had only the driver seat, a ton of nos, custom turbos and a bunch of other stuff that I dont know about. Look it up though it will be in the record books for Bandamere. It was 9.225 @156mph. And it WAS a 95 Eclipse GSX

Is Bandamere on C-470? If so I was driving my '95 max by there while you were probably racing. Did you race on friday or saturday? I drove by there twice on saturday.

Are you sure you were running 96mph in the 1/4? Running a 15.3@96 in a NA Max at a track 5000+ feet above sea level doesn't make much sense to me. Running a 16.0@95 makes even less sense. You sure that wasn't 85-86mph? THat would make a lot more sense. The corrected et to sea level would be close 14.4@100mph which doesn't seem quite possible. I have friends with heavily modded GTPs that struggle to run 14.8s@93mph at Bandimere. When they race in Kansas City (1000'), they were running 14.0s@101mph. See what I'm saying.

I was there too with my maroon 95' 5spd. I ran a 16.0 sec 1/4 @ 5300 ft and when converted to sea level that is a 14.8 sec 1/4. I assume the times above are already converted for the altitude which is still really good for a automatic. Good Job!

Hi MadMax95,
I didn't get a chance to race a maxima this last Sunday, but I have raced plenty in the past. I unfortunately did get stuck in the rain and as a result I only ran twice.

I too was caught in the rain and only ran twice. I saw you in the Maroon Max and your first time was in the 17's. I was wondering what was up. You guys must not have been paying too much attention to the races though. I have a black Max which is auto. I raced a White 97 Maxima SE. I talked to him quite a bit. We were parked by those crazy *** old beetles that ran the 13's and 12's. One was navy blue and one was a gray color. Anyway, I am also running Zex but the guy that installed it suggest i olny run a 50 shot at first, so it really didnt do much. I didnt mention this earlier because everyone always has bad stuff to say about ZEX. You guys can back me on that Eclipse though, because sprintmax didnt believe me about it. Anyway, it was cool to see some other max's at Bandamere, there arent usually very many around. Well write any comments or questions you have and I will answer them. For anyone that doesnt believe me though I have the time slips to prove it. Take Care
