Climate Control and Bose Radio lights turn off when I turn on headlights...why?

All of sudden the lights on the climate control and bose stereo go completely off when I turn on the park lights and/or headlights. I have the dim switch turned up. It started happening this morning. Anyone know why? Do I have a short somewhere? Has something come loose?

If the dim switch is turned up all the way, it could be a fuse that blew going to the switch or to the radio/cc. Do the speedometer and tach light up?

I realize you said the dim is all the way up, but if the dim switch is turned all the way down there are similar symptoms..... That will result in the gauge cluster, ACC, and radio to blank when the headlights are on....

I was driving this morning and so I can't tell if all of the other lights (dash, etc.) or working or not when I turn on the headlights. I will check it tonight.

I have had a similar issue with just the Bose HU since i bought my car. The guy said he replaced the '95 HU with a '98 and when you turn the headlights on the lights on the Bose go out. I have twice in 4 years gotten the HU to light up, by tapping on the side of it, so I assume it's a loose connection somewhere. Doesn't matter what I do to the dimmer switch. Plus, over the last year I have noticed that sometimes when I come to an abrupt stop the clock will go out for a second and then come back on. I called the Bose doctor here in Dallas a couple years ago and he said he could fix the HU for like $200, but it wasn't worth it to me, so I have gotten used to it being dark when I drive.
