Door sensor fix, HOW TO
well I noticed my door lights were not coming on every time I opened my door, after jiggling the switch I hypothesized that there was a looses connection somewhere.
after removing the single screw that held the switch in place and taking apart the sensor (pops apart w/ clips) I discovered that the internal grounding contact was corroded, simply spraying the contact with some contact cleaner and brushing it clean solved the problem.
Note: the switch will not work without the grounding screw secularly installed so do not freek out if it dose not work until it is completely reinstalled.
FYI this problem is more likely to occur after the boot has Ripped around the switch exposing the contacts more to the elements.
This was an easy fix that saved me some $$ at the stealership:-)
