Finally got my PlaceRacing CAI installed last night. Some difference in performance. A little better jump. It is def noticable on the highway when the air flow at speed is quicker under the body of the car.

What is pretty cool is the growling sound it makes as the engine sucks in more air and the whistle it makes at idle. I have been reading everyone's posts and had to try it out.

Added the chromed FSTB too. Solidifies the front end a bit. Tried to install matching chromed Rear tower strut bar but the brace work of the body made the bar end base about 1/8 too big. I will have to re-order a different brand and get it chromed or grind a piece of the car away behind the trunk lining. Anyone installed the REAR tower bar that runs through the trunk??? Did you have to cut some metal way to be able to fit the collar down on the two bolts??

Next up is the Stillen Y pipe. Will be here in a week along with an unorthodox underdrive pulley.

 

Nice! I love the CAI, it freaks people out all the time. Now I just need some $$$ to do the other mods you are doing.

 

It's addictive. I was standing in the guy's shop after test driving the CAI and asked for the price on the Stillen Y pipe. Then I told him to order it. What the heck... It's only money. I can make more right???
