lol. not a repost, but from this thread http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=499256 with a little add-on to drive the point home. I was confused as hell when I saw that thread, thought everyone was just being really sarcastic.

If you think that a basically anonymous car forum on the internet is going to be formal, you're in for a surprise. The moderators are picked for a reason and do a good job, but expecting entirely "professional" behavior out of anyone but a vendor on these forums is pretty stupid. You see... the moderators aren't PAID to moderate.

It's a funny thread. At least until it became *****ing about *****ing.

As a moderator on a different but strangely similar forum, I empathize.
Truth is, some (not most) people act very discourteously, most pay no attention to the forum guidelines (which means you could spend all day/night moving or closing threads), most make no effort to use the existing information, and if you act like anything but a stoic mt rushmore they think you're being an *******. There are enough lazy/******* mods out there for sure, but for the ones who actually try I have a lot of respect. Being a mod is all give, no take.

And while (if) your'e reading, is a 6 speed a bolt-in?

Does anyone know if the motor from a 300ZX twin-turbo is a direct swap? My girlfriend's brother's physical trainer's dentist met this guy whose sister's nephew has one at a really good price.

Hey wait - how come you never see a "hey where can I donate to the site" question? You would figure that if one saves time and money they would.

I laugh at you, my friend. I laugh at you. I sometimes find it annoying moderating my forum of 70 or so people. There are thousands of members on this site. Do you have any f-ing clue about what its like to go through hundreds of new posts every day and try to clean them up? Especially by one moderator? phenryiv1 has been doing a great job so far trying to clear up the mess that this forum has become, making info easily available to n00bs to avoid countless reposts, telling people how to search, etc. And yes, once in a while he gets pissed off at people that just don't get it... I don't blame him. You're done? Good for you, don't let the door hit you on the way out, we'll miss you terribly.

This thread was my pressure release. I posted it Friday, watched it all weekend, and let people have a little fun in it. Some people got all bent over it, and that's fine- look who they are.

Most of you guys who have been here have taken this for what it is- open season for a few days. Notice, I was still in here, still reading it, still MODERATING it, but letting things ride. Why? Because as I have said a dozen times, this is YOUR forum. Rather than me singling people out over reposts and being a d!ck to them, I made this and vented my frustration.

To some degree, we have a balance going here. If people bump old threads people b!tch about it- but at least the bump-er SEARCHED. If we don't get the bumps but people have a follow-up question, we all shouut "repost-" even if that person had a legitimately new question. Sure it is rare that the question is really "new," but with the free search, it is a lot harder to find old info. That is not going to change any time soon, but 95% of you OGs have done a great job since we all had our little pow-wow ("What can I do to improve...") a few months back. You gently point to the sticky threads, post relevant links, and generally treat most of the n00bies as if they are welcome. THAT makes this forum work. I do what I can as a moderator, but you members have really stepped up lately and made this subforum a LOT easier to manage.

Thaks to all!

I've always wanted to know if there was a direct swap from a maxima engine to a hemi engine?

Also is it possible to remove the front windshield and put 1 giant safari window..so i can get some fresh air in my car?

Can i add a 7" monitor to my trunk..so people behind me can watch what i see?

And FINALLY is it possible to fit 25's on a maxima with no fitment issues?

Okay..im done..thanks for the fun
