I posted this in the general area and no one seems to know the answer so I guess I'll ask here. I recently purchased a 97 Maxima SE. On the outside of the front window on the driver side there is a red metallic like sticker plate. There is a number engraved on it. Does anyone know what this is for? The number are hard to read cause they are dented in the sticker. It looks like 682 or something. Any ideas?

What number does yours say? I've asked in here and in the general forum and either no one knows or they don't want to answer. Have you ever tried asking a dealership? I guess that would be the next step.
