You guys are funny..

Anyways.. regarding Chestons gains.. those arent apples to apples, as ptatohed's got a 96 So he'll see NABIL's gains .. which were more than Chestons.

But like i said, no1 wants to put their money where their mouth is. The inhouse dyno #'s you guys didnt trust.. and Chestons is a special case, since its a 96 in a 97. Yah, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but at least try to keep the comparisons fair.

I remember looking at Biomax's dynos. He didnt get much gain either. He lost some going back to a 96 (hes a 97 as well) ..

I also agree topend didnt change. I felt more topend with my GReddy than my ECU. (Duh) .. but the ECU's midrange was felt, and its not like you drive in the 4900rpm area everyday..

Another pt i agree with.. get the I/Y/E first.. breathing is good for your car ..

O.k. guys...

Just thought I'd add another piece to the puzzle here! I have been deeling with Robert from F-Force and I have to tell you he is a really cool guy. He has been very helpful. He is very knowledgeable and professional. Here is what I got from him:

***********
I am a 10+ year friend of Jim and clark from JWT so I would never say
anything negative about them ever.
But I can tell you that if you want the MOST power and torque go with our
Maxima upgrade. And we will save you some $$$$
I used to work a Stillen for years and I was new product dev manager at one
time. It was my job to order new cool stuff and dyno them. We tested
everything back to back including ECUs so believe me, our programmer tends
to write less conservatively than Jim. Thats all I feel comfortable in
saying.
Do a search, someone posted a JWT maxima dynojet run a almost a year ago, it
was ok result wise, but not the same as ours.

Robert

P.s. Deezo, time to quite man, time to quite.

Here is the dyno that biomax did of the 97 ECU vs 95 JWT ECU http://z31.com/unsorted/jwtdyno.jpg. The first 3 runs are with the JWT ECU, while the last 2 are with stock 97 ECU. Biomax also dynoed tested the 95 ECU vs 97 ECU, there was basically no difference in power/torque.

The word is spelled "quit" and I don't know what you are talking about. Again, I said, "My bad! Robert was talking about about the Jet ECU". Slim understood. Wake up.

Wow, you really don't know when to QUIT, do you? You are becoming QUITE the pain. I sure whish you would stay QUIET. Lol, sorry - I crack me up. But seriously man, give it up:

First post:
"...the ECU. It does little to nothing. Don't waste your money."

**** Here you are saying the ECU does nothing (not singiling out any one ECU, just the ECU upgrade, period). Terrible thing to do when you run the risk of discouraging a would-be happy customer with your WRONG info. Shame on you.

Second post:
"...and I'll tell you this, its been talked about before and its been proven that those aftermarket ECU's are a waist of money($ per HP)."

**** Here you clearly say 'ECUs', plural. Not Jet specifically, but ECUs. GForce, J.W., Jet, etc.? And how come you are the only person aware of it being 'talked about before'? And my favorite part :'PROVEN'. Really?

Third post:
"I keep it real in this forum. Why would I waste my money on what people here say gives you little to no increase?"

**** You keep it real, huh? By passing on false, SECOND-HAND knowledge? Umm... o.k. Once again the 'people here say..'. I think you are the only 'people here' that say!

Fourth Past"
"I have every business to comment on what I want to."

**** Terrible attitude man! Terrible. That give you a right to go around giving out false info.?

I kept it real by clear up my confusion between the 2 ECU's.

**** What two ECUs?! Cleared what up?! Confusion? There was none until you started posting! lol, lol.

No loss to me. That's more being more of a man than most people.

**** Not sure how to comment on that one as it made NO sense. lol

If you didn't care about what was in my car, why you checkin profiles?

**** For a good reason! He wanted to see if you could back up your claims.

Fifth Post:
"What I have stated were facts. Got them from Robert@GForce here on the forums."

**** What are you talkin about deez.? I don't think you stated even one fact!

"I do. You don't know me so kill that noise."

**** In regards to Slim telling you to practice what you preech. "You Do", huh? Coulda fooled me.

"Whatever."

**** Ha! The classic when you know you are wrong and have no answer answer. lol

"Dude, all this description you are writing is uncalled for. Don't you know how to let things go?"

**** Look who's talking!!! LOL. Doesn't this go back to the 'practice what you preech thing? lol

Well, anyway. Time for you to hang up your hat there deezer. But thanks for the good laugh.

Re: LOL...

from the last post i had an argument with you.. about the rear lip spoiler from stillen.. you seem to act like you know so much about maxima's but you keep asking questions?

if you are going to ask questions.. then you should learn to respect everyone's opinion..

Attacking deezo is not going to get you anything but disrespect... deezo is a respect memeber here and if you would climb out of your newbie stage... maybe just maybe you can salvage your now dying and tarnish reputation..

just my 2 cents

Sprint...

... I'm sorry I offended you. Not my intention, I assure you. However, please note it is NOT my fault that Deezo thinks that ECUs (plural) give 'little to no' gains and that you think that the Stillen '95/'96 rear ground effect pieces will fit on a '97/'99. Both of these I KNOW to be wrong so when I read this, as an educated Maxima owner/enthusiest and org member, I feel obligated to the rest of the org members who are reading these false claims to clear this up. I guess what Slim was calling 'keeping it real'. I am so sorry you don't agree. There is nothing I can do about that. And I will continue to correct incorrect posts (most people find that helpful and thank me). Thank you for your time in reading this and I wish you a great, fun, safe weekend.

You didn't have to correct my posts. I corrected them myself. The whole ECU thin has been talked about time and time again on the org. It slipped my mind that it was the JetECU(Waste of money with no gains) and I cleared that up. And the Jet information is true. Not word for word, but Robert basically said the same thing.

Definitely words from an immature, "I know I am wrong but don't know what else to say", "I don't know when to quit", stubborn, BOY. Thanks again for the chuckle.

P.s. I have taked enough psycology classes to know "I did(n't) even read his reply..." is a blatent lie and a way of telling me you never even recived my message so that I won't have the 'satisfaction' and for you to be 'exempt' from having to reply to my TRUE claims - which of course you couldn't. You're not fooling anyone.

Anyway, there is no need for name calling. It is immature and unprofessional.

My original reason for this post was to educate myself on the G-Force ECU (as well as others who might be considering it). I think I have accomplished that. I will be ordering it next week. Unfortunately I also started a little e-war. My appologies. Well, my original goal has been met, I thank all of those who helped me in my decision making. Let's let this thread die guys, what do you think?

Have a really fun and great weekend. I know I will, I'm going to the Maxima meet on Saturday!

Some folks moved up a classification on this thread. Newbies became enthusiasts and so on. We can keep this one going for days so that everyone "Needs non-Maxima friends".

I have lost track of the conversation and who has what question.

Myself and a couple of others that are trying to answer the original question of "ECU upgrade for more performance" Listen to the technical support responses. Spend the money on the basics like air in and out issues then get the minor enhancements. I believe all the Dyno sheets are for cars with air intakes and exhausts that have been upgraded. If you don't have those, you may be disappointed in the money spent on any electronic modification as those modifications are to compensate for the expected changes caused by those other modifications.

I will have a great weekend but I wouldn't have disrespected you until you started with Deezer. My name is Deezo. I give respect when I get it. People on the org have met me and they don't think I am immature at all. When you start with all the other uncalled for statements, what do you think I was going to do? Just take it? Like I said earlier, we can't see facial expressions here thats why we use the smilies. I don't want to make enemies on this forum but I am not going to let someone who hasn't even met me take corny cheap shots at me or my name.
Well, with that said. I am moving on to other topics. Good luck with your modding. Peace!
