97 tailights on 96

97 tailights on 96

I was wondering..Can you put 97-99 tailights on 96?
if not what kind of modifications has to be done to make it work?

No. You can do a 97-99 rearend conversion.

u mean u can go from 97-99 to 96?? but not the other way around??

No, the 95-96 and 97-99 taillights are not interchangeable. However, if you swap your body pieces for 97-99 ones, the 97-99 taillights will fit.

If you swap from the 95 to the 97-99 trunklid then the lights will fit.

you need the 97-99 bumper with the 97-99 trunk lid.
so to go from 95-96 to 97-99. trunk lid, bumper, and tails

Wrong. Not needed. It will look slightly different (there will be a little tiny gap between the bumper and trunk lid) but it isn't needed.

yea its not needed. but theres an ugly gap.
