Ice Cube works with carpet. So I would try that first

a faster way than ice cube would be getting one of those air duster cans, turning it upside down and spray on the gum. It'll freeze it instantly and you'll be able to peel it off.

Yea. It will get the Gum cold, and be able to lift off the seat.

Ice cubes, or duster those will freeze it and make it somewhat easier to chip away. I have also heard peanut butter works, but I am very skeptical about it. I would be very cautious about the PB. Of course any of these are applied directly on the gum. Good Luck.

Peanut Butter only works on hair....don't try it on the seat.

try Goo Gone which is meant to dissolve gum, sticker residue, etc.

Goo Gone is pretty strong and might eat away at the seat. Best bet again would be to freeze it with the air duster can.
