i spent like 6 hours installing these **** gauges and only the backlight stock gauge lights and the needles light up! the gauges are dark! help!

i wired the red wire (from the little black box that came with the gauges) to the blue wire thats on the headlight dimmer **** next to the dash. i read in one of the stickies that you could do it this way. i grounded the black wire. then i just plugged in all 4 gauge wires to the connectors they are suppost to go into and... voila! darkness!

any advice??? i'm gonna flip out if i spent all that time for dead gauges! please help!


p.s. yes, the dimmer switch definetly works because it dims the dash lights still as it's suppost to.
