for those who have the short ram intake.....
does your intake "scream"? i remember reading a post of someone on here saying that his intake screams after 2000 rpm. i can hear my intake when i rev it past 2000 rpm, but i wouldn't consider it loud because i can only hear it when my windows are down.

Mine sounds throaty, as said, mainly anywhere under 3000 RPM, and increasingly louder beyond that. But at any point when you pin it, it does scream and I can hear it with music loud, same as people inside their houses etc. It's really loud and I love it.

I do not notice any difference when I am driving around under 3000 rpms with music on. Even if the radio is shut off, it is not a noticeable difference. However when over 3500 rpms or while at WOT it definitly screams. The Stillen Hi-Flow sounds great...as it is very throaty.
So, to answer your question...no it is not that noticable and does not scream under normal driving...however under WOT and <3500 rpms it does begin to get loud.

Yea it normal. It just air being sucked into the intake.

Haha, I wish it was a turbo. Im gon swap out my generic cone filter with a bigger k&n one. O yea and my intakes sounds very similar to the one in the video posted earlier.

damn that it sounds good but i fyou want to quiet it down use a 3' to 3.5 inch rubber coupler and attach air filter to that with a piece of pvc or whatever the itll be the same velocity of air but not crammed like a single size pipe will do

I get a whistle at idle and below 3000RPM normal driving. With WOT it screams like Mxrider52's video was. I thought about putting the stock resonator back on because of hearing you get a few HP with it from here.

You can heard well when shifting the third : http://videos.streetfire.net/video/7...5301771b4a.htm

I got one of them E-gay intakes for about 40 bones, and WOT 3K + it SCREAMS like a school girl on Christmas morning. I love it, neighbors hate it. But, under very light throttle pressure in the 2k to 2.5k range I do hear a slight whistle. (Im talking about, like 2/5ths of an inch travel on the Go pedal) But it dissapears with little more pressure. Not just drowned out, dissapears. Dont really bug me, but i was kinda wondering what caused it. I aint exactly Mr. Monkey Wrench, more like Mr. Wd-40 n Duct Tape, so i was wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to what may be causing this.

are you talking about a 3.5" inlet on the filter, or on the maf adapter, or on the midpipe? Where would one end of the adapter go, and where would the other end go?

I had a thread a while back about the whistle from my intake. Another member said after some testing, he found it was from the pipe that replaces the 'silencer'. Basically, if you want the loud scream at WOT, you deal with the whistle. I annoys the heck out of me, but the WOT sound makes up for it, plus my stereo is loud enough to tune out the whistle at low RPMs.
