Yes, it is "header" (no "S"), no I don't have pics (yet- I just got email notification that it arrived).

Hotshot header FTW, b!@+ch3$.

If I was not buying the house I'd be in the market for a different vehicle. The header is not a mod for performance, in my case (though it does add HP). I am doing it to eliminate the precat that is known to fuxor the 02-04 QR25s.

To cut out the rasp-@$$ that the Spec gets, I am buying everything from there on back from a local guy who is going turbo this month. 2.5" all the way back. I will be adding a 18-22" resonator before the mufflARRRRR.

Couldn't hurt.

Before, sounded semi because I added a test pipe, now, almost too quiet.

I can't decide if I want the ugly 5th gen muffler(really dont wanna cut my bumper to make it look nice) or if I want to try a new resonator, I already have the magnaflow resonator and the 1400-2200 rpm drone is always annoying.

Lucky you... while you have yourself a "head" of hot shot headers (you have one more than I do) I'm stuck here looking on ebay... and debating whether to risk buying one of these headers... after watching Grey99max hack at his OBX headers.... I wonder if these will be any different... which i doubt.

I am going to try to get it on in the next couple of weeks. I am waiting until I get the cat-and-back before I do this, because supposedly they sound like absolute crap with a header running to stock exhaust.

Id rather read about this then the hundreds of
"what exhaust should I get" and the "I got 500.00 what should I do with it" threads.

. Totally agree. I'm so sick of people posting the stupid threads and still everyone answers the question. Even tho that's the point of the forum, it's annoying having to tell every newb what we want him/her to do with their car haha. Congrats on the new header hope it cures the rasp.

The header CREATES the rasp, but it eliminates the risk of the catalyst substrate material in the precat from being sucked back into the motor and scoring the cylinder walls.

That leads to oil consumption issues (VQ35, anyone), and premature death of the engine.

It is a win/lose situation. The rasp can be controlled with a resonator and a better muffler. It seems like a huge expense to fix a problem that exists due to lousy engineering.

Phenyriv does want he wants on home field.. The QueeR25 isn't that bad of an engine, it just doesn't get me off like the new 2.6L I was standing in front of today.

That 'POS' sentra is probably worth more than your A32 right now

I know it's worth more than mine.

This one was coated, though I am not sure with what. I might strip it and ceramic-coat it. I also might just run it as it is. The chrome ones seem to attract a lot of attention during emissions and safety inspections, and since this removes a cat (only the pre-cat, but it is still required equipment), I don't want to attract more attention than I have to.

Pics:

It goes 4-2-1, as opposed to most B15 headers, which go 4-1 or 4-2-1 but eliminate the main cat as well. This is the only one that I knw of that goes 4-2-1 and allows you to keep the main cat.

(And by the way- that dirty-@$$ carpet is in front of my workbench in my garage.)

Let's see: lighter, more performance features, more MPG, better handling (stock or modified), better aftermarket support, more cupholders...

Sure, the QR has its problems, but they are covered by warranty and eliminated by the header that I have purchased. Adding this header takes HP up to where the A32 is rated and only costs $100.

Advantage: B15.

New rule, just for you- if you don't like this thread, don't post in it.

I saw that in the link on page 1. It looks good for the money. Once I get the rest of my exhaust in my hands, I will measure for the right resonator and get it in there before I go bolting any if it onto the car.

Hey Phen I'd be interested in seeing some 0-60's and quarter mile times if ya have them.. I've always wondered what those SE-R's can do. I hear with the right bolt-ons they can be pretty quick, I'm not sure what this fella had in a video I was watching, but N/A he beat a 350z.
