HELP! Headlights not working

Recently my DR side light headlight stopped working. It would sometimes come on and off intermittently, thought it was a bad connection, but yesterday my daytime lights/fog lights won't work at all, and i only have pass side lighting. I had also noticed a buzzing sound under the hood that would go away when you turned the light switch on, this turned out to be the daytime running light control module. I went to the scrap yard, swapped it with another one, same buzzing/vibrating sound, lights still won't work. Any ideas? I kinda need lights.

Guess I'll be the first to ask the obvious; did you try replacing the bulb?

I would check all the wiring. You probably have a short somewhere or a bad connection. For non daytime running light maxima's the driver side and passenger side are wired separate of each other and there is a separate fuse for each side. What happens when you turn on the hi beams?

I had this EXACT same problem, however I just disconnected the daytime running lights and wired the R/s high beam direct to the headlight, the buzzing was from the daytime light control module, and also was setting off my fog light relay I could hear it in the car. I did not find out what the problem was, but my lights work just fine with the daytime light control module disconnected. Try disconnecting it, but the reason its the RS headlight is the way the daytime lights are wired, the left side is activated and wired right to the headlight, then to the DRL module, the right side is wired through the DRL module then back to the headlight. Sorry i cant be of more help I did not ever find out what caused it just assumed the DRL module was toast, but sounds like thats not why. Check your harnesses too my LS looked a little cooked/corroded, may have something to do with it, just a guess

Yes I checked the bulb, and when i turn the high beams on only the right side gets any action. The buzzing went away today and all lights are fine, but i can't be crusing the highway@ night and have my lights die, still need to figure it out. Tunermaxima3000< you said you just disconnected the DRL module and the lights worked? How exactly did you get them to work(wiring). I really don't care about daytime lights anyway, if the lights work again for free, I'll be happy

I tapped into the wiring to the RS headlight right before it enters the harness that connects to the daytime running lights, fused it just for shyts and giggles cause i have silverstars. Try simply disconnecting the harnesses if it starts buzzing again and see if it stops. I dont really give a fuak about the daytime running lights either, but know that it is illegal in canada to disconnect them if they came stock on the vehicle, but I VERY much doubt youd get any kind of trouble for it. In my case I wasnt about to tear all the wiring out of the car to get daytime running lights working. If you have the service manual (I dont have the link to download but its out there) all the wiring diagrams you will need are there, thats all I went off of and worked fine, all lights work great minus the DRLs of course.
