Is there any kind of performance increase with the K & N Drop in Air Filter? If so, how does it compare with the other conical intakes?

The K&N drop in filter is less restrictive than the stock filter therefore it will increase power a little bit, but not by much. Cone filters (a.k.a popchargers) and CAI (cold air intakes) will make a noticable difference in performance being that they're a lot less restrictive than your stock air box.

Turbo Magazine dynoed a 4hp gain with a K&N panel filter on a 5th gen. I didn't notice an increase in power, but it definitely provides better throttle response, so it must flow more air and make more power.
