Forget Power Acoustik, go with Infinity Perfects !!!! I Have 2 12" Infinity Perfects in my max and D A M N...They define bass notes so good, and go DEEP. They are the BEST subs (besides eclipse) in my opinion. Will blow 90% of any subs aways. ESPECIALLY if you put in a bass cd....damn.

Heres My Setup:

Pioneer Premier DEH-P730 Reciever. (4 Volts)

4-Gauge Wiring

Rockford Fosgate 1-Farad Capacitor

AUDIOBAHN 2200HCX High Current Amp. (1600 Watts R.M.S.) (dont let people diss Audiobahn !!! 14k gold and Chrome, this baby pounds ! never gets hot either..my stock alternator handles 800 watts RMS w/o the lights blinking !!!)

2 12'' Infinity Perfect's 12.1 In a custom fit/made box

Remote bass **** in dash

...I need a ****-load of dynomat!!!!!!!!!

Hope this helps you out,

Layta

..

I'd assume the Acoustik subs are similar to their amps.

Mediocre quality, and a tad over-rated. They have amps that are rated for 2200w, and cost less than $300 US .. Most amps are a minimum of $0.50 a watt, so you do the math.

They ain't horrible, but you can do better. Infinity Perfects are nice, similar to the Alumapro Alchemies.

Personal preferences:
Sound quality = http://http://www.audiomobileinc.com/
Loud = http://www.atomicthunder.com

This is exactly right. Many companies over-rate their products BIG TIME.(ie Pyramid,Crunch,Legacy, ect.)

Ask me or anyone who know's audio well, if you aren't paying 50.-1.00+ for each watt, it's probubly over rated. (unless you get some kinda deal!!)

You obviously weren't paying attention. He didn't ask you to brag about what you've got. If he's wondering about PA subs, he obviously doesn't want to spend the money required to get Perfects.

If you want a low priced, decent subwoofer, I'd say go with a JL Audio W0 series. They are right around $100 each.

Yea. It's not like I payed outta my *** for my perfects tho. I got them Both off ebay for 319.99 (plus shipping).

The world of car audio is a VAST one. SO many choices, so much to know. (kinda like car performance). Any sub you choose will add bass to your music. How loud, defined, low, high hitting they will be, is all in the quality of the sub.

Also a very important point...You could have the best all around sub in the WORLD, but that sub will only perform as well as the Amp that powers it. Then after the amp, theres little things like a cap., Reciever, wiring, Rca's, Positioning, Car Alternator, Ect.

Sorry I kinda went off-track a little,...Hope I helped. (U proly already knew the stuff i said anyways )
