I just spent all my money on a 97 se 5 speed with 67k on it. I took it to my mechanic and he said it's in great condition, just some dirty filters and the transmission O-Ring is leaking (extremely minor). It's black. I love it. I have a couple quick questions:
1. Where can I get the skyline headlight conversion? I saw it on the Motorex Maxima and it looked friggin tight.
2. Should I get a pop charger or a cold air intake? I want the best bang for the buck and reliability is key.
3. Why would someone put a "GTR" badge on their Maxima when it wasn't a GTR? That's like putting a "Type R" badge on just a regular civic. (I'm not trying to offend anyone, it's an honest question).
4. Has anybody seen the new HKS exhaust for the Maxima? It's got dual tips and looks really good. How loud is it?

Thanks for reading my long and boring post.

RE: New Person...

Hey, welcome to the forum and all that sh*t...
1. Altezzas or real Skyline conversion? Altezzaz=$200, Skyline=$2000. Yeah. You have to re-do all the surrounding body panels and completely redo the trunk. Not to mention GETTING the lights from Nissan in Japan...
2. A pop charger is a good bang for the buck, but won't give you as much power as a CAI.
3. I (speaking for a lot of GTR badge owners) am just trying to make a subtle hint that my Maxima is different from the one my 70-year old neighbor owns...think of how subtle that is compared to say...sponsor stickers, huge wings that don't actually reduce the drag coefficient, or a body kit. Aren't they all for looks like the GTR badge? Don't get me wrong I like them all, and if I had the money I would buy them. No, I don't own a Skyline GTR, but does it say Skyline GTR? Or does it say Maxima GTR? (By the way, no hard feelings during this article ).
4. New HKS exhaust? New as in just out, or as in the only one? www.custommaxima.com Has an HKS exhaust for $360 shipped to your door.
You are right your post is long and boring, but atleast I got that GTR thing off my chest.
Just trying to help.
