Blower motor is not working ...

In my 1999 Max GLE, there was a problem with the AC a few days ago.

Day 1: Blower motor starts but with very noisy sound, sounds like something is falling off somewhere in there.

Day 2: Blower motor starts but very weakly. Even on speed 4, I can barely feel the air coming out of the vent.

Day 3: AC panel lights work, indicating the fan is blowing at high speed but no air is coming out. AC compressor works, clutch engaged... Blower motor would not start. I checked fuses, no problem there. Anything else I need to check?

I have Automatic Climate Control. And there's been a problem with the clock lately. Sometime it gets so dim, then if I knock it a little, it comes back as bright as it's supposed to be. Is that related to the blower motor problem? ... Scratching my head ...

My A/C or anything (Defroster, etc..) only works on speed 4. My mechanic said I need a new "reflector" Which is a dealer part. Maybe so

Original problem: Probably the actual panel just going bad. Ouzo: You need the A/C blower motor resistor. 37.something at the dealer. Undo two screws under the passenger side dash, take out the old one, put the new one in.

My blower does not work on any speed ... The panel works, because indication lights are on. I have Automatic Climate Control, when I put it on Auto, the fan would go speed 1 .. 2 .. 3 .. 4 and stays on 4 but there's no air whatsoever ...

Still scratching my head... Anyone wanna give another shot?

Your motor is probably dead. It was just dying before.Check for power at the motor with a test light or volt meter. If theres power the motor is dead.

Arg .... I just replaced the motor about 9 months ago ... Any idea how much it would cost for the blower motor? Where's the cheapest I can find? Also, if you read this http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....61#post5704061 does the problem that my AC compressor is slipping has anything to do with this problem?

there not related, but you should always check the fuses first. fanaticrockford made a wee little typo, he meant to say if there IS power the motor is dead. If you need one let me know, $45 shipped if it turns out you do need a blower motor.
