98 Starting Problem

I was on my way to work this morning. Stopped to get a coffee. Came out and tried to start my car, and it wouldn't turn over. Starter sounds like its working. Seemed like an issue with the car being flooded or something. Tried for just a min or two. Waitied a few min, then tried starting again and it wouldn't turn over. Ended up pop starting it which worked fine. No CEL light. Drove all the way home fine. Went out just a few min ago, and it seemed like it was starting right. Anybody have a similar problem or have any thoughts on cause???

Would a oxygen sensor possibly cause a starting problem? I self checked the codes and I had a 0409 and 0101 I believe. One is an oxygen sensor. The other I think is the camshaft position sensor. Would this cause a no start?? Once started, everything seems fine.

Change the CPS, it's been know to cause starting problems. At least you got a code I've read some people having starting issues due to a bad CPS but weren't throwing a code.

Definately the CPS, same thing as mine and I know mine is shot. Easy to replace, I just havent gotten around to getting a new one. I was able to take mine off and clean off the pickups and it seemed to work for a couple days but ended up crapping out again. When I start I usually give it a little gas and it goes.

Could be ingnition switch or starter. You can get the starter tested for free @ you local autozn. But you have to take it out, thats pretty easy to do. Do a search for that info.
