Lowering front engine support by 1/8th of an inch a problem?

Hey guys, my lower radiator support/crossmember is pretty nicely rusted, anyone know how much they are to get replaced?

Currently im thinking of dropping the engine support down a little, and welding a 1/8th inch plate all around (front and bottom) then drilling and putting the cradle back up, however im not sure if this will be a problem if the engine then sits 1/8th of an inch lower all the time?

Thanks

It will be a problem because you aren't lowering the two side mounts also, but it has been fixed like this many times, I'd recommend against it though, just do it yourself the right way, it's not THAT hard as long as you can get access to a welder and a grinder, and then you'll only end up spending $135 on parts.....
