gauge mounting position

so i bought a wet nitrous kit yesterday and it comes with a nitrous pressure gauge. I want to hide the gauge but its 2" so its kinda big. I was thinkin in the ash tray since i do not use it, i can remove the insert and cut a small hole in the back for the wires. Would this work? And has it been done before? What other suggestions are there? I do not want an a-pillar pod.

Can you mount it in the trunk beside the bottle. You won't see it, so it makes it sorta useless. Keeps the interior neat and tidy.

Id suggest mount by your right foot in the plastic pannel that comes off for accessing the ECU, or something like that... Out of sight, but can still be seen on a regular basis...
