help- brand new axels installed... vibration

I am leaving for vacation in the morning, so any input is GREATLY appreciated. I had brand new axels installed in my 99 automatic Maxima two days ago. My wife said the car feels funny. So I drove it tonight. At hard acceleration from a stop or very low speed, there is some hard vibration from the front end up through the steering wheel. It reminds of running my 90 sho at the track: wheelhop. It feels like the tires are trying to "grab". But the tires aren't spinning. It goes away when I let off the throttle. It won't do it at highway speeds, I don't think. This only came about since I had the new axels installed.
Any ideas?

Did you check to see it they tightened your wheels all the way? Just a thought if not they might have left something loose I would take it back as soon as possible before something bad happens.

badly rebuild axle.
I had this problem as well, vibrations were present under load but foot off the gas/coasting no vibrations.

get a new axle, or a new rebuilt axle, and reinstall. I recommend Raxles since they are great quality, good customer service, and again a quality axle. price is higher than a local autostore, but worth it if you like quality reliable parts on your car

I am pretty sure that there isn't any brand new axles for a 4th gen maxima any more. You prolly got rebuilt ones

I just replaced my axles (new GSP's from Advance) and have a similar problem. Car - 99 automatic - goes into the shop tomorrow; I've given up playing auto mechanic.

The driver's axle I put on didn't have the little rubber ring (balancer?) in the middle, like the stock axle. Do all 4th gen years have this thingy? Could the lack of it on my replacement axle be the source of my vibrations?

bent rim(s) if the wheel is shaking. i replaced 2 A arms b/c thats what the shop said was worn and i still had shaking... swapped backs with fronts and the shaking of the stearing wheel went away but the back is a little shaky now.
