Lexus GS400 Fogs... Convert H3 To 9006?

Hey Guys,

I am planning on buying a set of Lexus GS 400 Fogs with the yellow capsule bulb already in place.

Here is the Auction. Don't freaking bid people!!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...0188676&rd=1,1

I going to find a way to install this onto my stock fog brackets and see what type of modification I will have to do. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck or write ups of how to convert the H3 wiring harness to a 9006 harness.

Thoughts?

If they were the IS300 fogs I would have bidded haha. So you're actually going to fit the whole fog in there?

Haha somebody already did. If it goes over a certain amount, I will just order new Stock fogs and retro them with Bosch mini projectors and yellow lexus capsules.

is not hard at all since 9006 are single beam. just cut the fog connector off. red and black wire on the OEM harness. match up with the connector harness on the fogs. simple as pie.

Just fitting them in aint. there is only so much space in our fog light spots it makes it harder.

Thanks, I'm hoping that the size is about right, but for around $40 bucks, it's worth a try. I'm tired of my stock fogs always cracking.

what makes you think the lexus ones dont crack? its just your luck of rocks, plus its really low. If our headlights where that low it would crack too.

looks like you got a snail or a blower on your car. so this cut, butt connect thing is a nap for you. i think the nissan harness is red and black. just cut the connector off the harness. and for the lexus one there should be just the ground and the 12v wire as well. cut off that connector and trial and error since its only a right and wrong way. a bulb only sees a 12v source. I know this cause the prevoius owner hacked up my harness that was suppose to be prewired and i had to relay the wires in my car and get new connectors for the fogs.

Believe me, I know that the Lexus ones crack as well, but I've gone through 3 sets of factory fogs. Since a member on this board keeps outbidding me, I have decided to do a retrofit.

I'm going to get a new set of OEM fogs and retrofit bosch mini h3 projectors in them. I will pair them up with a set of Yellow Luminic H3 Bulbs. I'm ordering the parts now.
