H3 Projector Foglight Retrofit coming soon

Since someone on the board keeps outbidding me on my previous idea to install Lexus GS400 fogs on my max, I decided to go another route.

Original Thread:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=523019

I just bought some new fogs from Ebay (I plan to put the 3m film on it to prevent it from cracking)

I also bought a set of Bosch Mini H3 Projectors

To finish it off, Luminic Yellow JDM H3 Bulbs

I will keep you all posted on the progress of my retrofit as the parts start arriving.

Haha, no more linking on future projects!!!

The listing was actually a "Buy it Now" so I wouldn't have the same problem as before. The Projectors were $59 after shipping.

I will try to do a write up as I do the retrofit. I will also black out the reflectors in the fogs to match my blacked out cefiro's. I have black bumper lenses on the way so my whole front lighting will be blacked out to match the car.

I wish someone was selling Smoked Red/Clear Tails. I'm am currently using Gen 2 Gunmetal altezzas, but I'm getting tired of them. Love the LED's though.

What an azzhole. I wanted to see the GS400 fogs on a max, that's too bad.

Good luck on your install!

I was thinking about IS300 but I don't know of the fitment. I was going to try the GS400 because of the price. I'm not willing to spend $120+ on lights that I don't know is going to fit. I also have intercooler piping to think about so i decided to go with the retro instead. The GS400 fogs were going for less than $25 before I posted the link. I'm a jacka$$ for posting it. Worst case scenario, I could have taken out the yellow capsules.

I prefer to do the retrofit. I like having something different from everyone else. I do not want yellow lenses, but a yellow beam. The yellow film will not match any of my smoked lights in the front. Thanks for the suggestion.

someone actually starting bidding on those lights from here? Thats ridiculous. I like this plan of attack tho. Should look good. I was looking at those h3 projectors before on the hidplanet site. I'll wait till you're done and see how it turns out haha.

Do you have any heat issues with the Projectors? Are you using halogen or HID?

Heat issues are the same as the stock H3 fog light reflectors. What I mean is, there's a crapload of heat. Everything I used in the retrofit has stood up to the heat, though, except the yellow film that was on the lenses, which melted/burned off the lenses.

I'm using halogen, btw.

Try to have something different bro. That is what having a "customized" car is all about. . .

i think packattack on nycmaximas.org did this. HE WASNT HAPPY WITH RESULTS.

The reason bein projectors in the clear glass headlight work great cause there is obstructions in the way. but on th foglight glass there is ridges that scattered the light.. but im very curious to see this happen.
