2001 ECU in 99'??? HELP ASAP

2001 ECU in 99'??? HELP ASAP

Ok i did the 01' DEK swap and my car runs fine but the CEL is on due to o2 sensors which i know have something to do with the car running to its full potential but i was wondering if a 2001 ECU would be better or would even work because the car is a 99 but the engine is a 2001....help please....thanks

Won't fit and it won't add any power.

As long as you're running a RPM switch on the 4th gen ecu, it will be fine. It would be better to have something to tune such as a VAFC or Emanage..

i plan on installing my vafc and wideband this weekend.....i was just wondering if it would be better for the ecu change though

Vacf will make up for anything the 01 ecu could add(which would be close to nothing).

Plus even if you wanted to use the ecu, you would have to rewire the car and with all that effort you are better off doing a FULL vq35 swap.

Too much of a hassle. Remember 2001's have a programmable key.
