recomended tire psi level for auto-x? (posted here as well just for more input)

going to autocross this weekend and need psi recommendations.
tires i have are just sum cheap kumo's. max psi is i think @ 44 psi.
have it set at 35psi front and back right now.

was wondering if thats was ok. should i increase pressure more up front than the back? i will also chalk up the sidewalls to know if i need to increase it or not.

If inches are english, what do metric people use instead of psi for their tires?

I used 35fr 30re recently, but like u already know, it's trial/error.

Most likely bar. 1 bar == ~14.503 PSIG. That's what they use for rad caps, boost pressures, etc.

EDIT: Not sure if I missed a rhetorical question there, but eh, whatever.

I suggest trying 44psi on all corners, and bleeding down depending on the chalk marks and of course heating and pressure increase.

Sorry if I'm off topic a little. I know the recommended pressure for tires by the manufacturer is 29 psi. But I'm running on a set of touring tire (Yoko Avid TRZ) and somehow the front tires look kinda flat a little. Should I pump the pressure up to say 35 psi or no?

And sorry OP for going off topic.

it should say on the tires themselves what the max psi is. i usually just go
80-85% of what the max is.

i usually run 40psi in the front and 42 in the rear....i will probably run more in the rear next event because i cant get the rear end to give out for anything...i want a rear sway bar so bad.
